James Beeson, D.V.M.
Dr. Beeson is a 1986 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. He began his career in vet medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. at Oldtown Veterinary Hospital. In 1987, he moved to the Advance area and opened Village Way Veterinary Hospital. His family includes his wife Susan and their three sons, Andrew, Will and Ben. They have four cats and one dog. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Beeson enjoys playing golf and working in his yard.
Paul Arfmann, D.V.M.
Dr. Arfmann has been an associate veterinarian at Village Way Veterinary Hospital since 2004. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Animal Science, a B.A. in Multi-Disciplinary Studies, and his DVM degree in 2004. Dr. Arfmann is a native of Forsyth County and has enjoyed returning to this part of the state to practice. He currently has one cat, Chubbs, living with him. His interests include ultrasound, dermatology and internal medicine. Outside of the office Dr. Arfmann enjoys playing poker, NC State athletics, and watching horror movies.
Lauren Rauck Komanski, D.V.M.
Dr. Lauren Komanksi is a 2013 graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. She resides in Winston-Salem with her husband, Chris, who is a Doctor of Ophthalmology at Baptist Hospital. Dr. "K", as we call her, is an avid cyclist who has raced professionally. She now has turned all of her attention back to veterinary medicine and is focusing on preventative medicine and surgery. She has two wonderful dogs, Savannah and Hip.
Diana Ellis, Office Manager
Diana has been employed at Village Way Veterinary Hospital since 1998. She started out as a kennel worker and has moved her way up to head veterinary technician. Her main duties include assisting the doctors in surgery, x-ray, ultrasound, allergy testing among many other things. Diana has a deep passion for animals and is very good at what she does. She lives in Davie County along with her house full of animals. Outside of work she enjoys working in her yard, spending time with her family and playing in the Yadkin River.
Keileigh Hendrix, Receptionist
Keileigh has been working at Village Way as a receptionist since December of 2006. She resides in Davie County with her husband and three children. Keileigh has always had a passion for animals and has a houseful of them, with 5 cats and 2 dogs. She enjoys trips to the beach, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Tammy Watts, Receptionist
Tammy has been employed at Village Way since 2012. She lives in Pfafftown and has 2 daughters. She has a Siamese cat, Sammy. Tammy enjoys trips to the beach, working in her yard, and spending time with her family and friends.
Stephanie Boyce, Receptionist
Stephanie has been employed at Village Way since November of 2013. She currently lives in Davie County with her husband. They are expecting their first child in January 2017, and they have a Shih Tzu named Ginger. Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Marty Keeton, Veterinary Assistant
Marty has been employed at Village Way since July of 2008. His duties include animal care and assisting the doctors. Marty resides in Davie County with his dog, Red. He loves baseball, apple pie and football.
Charity Kiger, Veterinary Assistant
Charity has been working at Village Way since February 2012. She was originally hired as a groomer, but has since moved up to the vet to work as a veterinary assistant. Charity currently resides in Davie County with her children, 3 cats, Angel, Stone and Midnight, and her pit bull, Dixie.
Savannah Wampler, Veterinary Assistant
Savannah has been working for Village Way since October of 2013. She currently lives in Davie County with her husband, daughter, 4 cats, and a boxer. In her free time, Savannah enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and cliff jumping.
Heather Pierce, Veterinary Assistant
Heather has been working at Village Way since August of 2016. She currently resides in Lawsonville, North Carolina with her family, 3 dogs and 1 horse. Heather has a love for horses, and enjoys barrel racing and farming in her free time.
Jamie Longworth, Veterinary Assistant
Jamie has been working at Village Way since August of 2015. Jamie has loved animals, especially cats, all of her life. She typically spends her free time painting pictures of animals and playing video games. Jamie currently resides in Davie County with her family, which includes her cat, Akela, and 2 dogs, Biscuit and Blaze.
Katherine Funderburk, Kennel Assistant
Katherine has been working for Village Way since 2012. Katherine likes to hike, swim, and ride horses. She currently resides in Davie County with her family, two dogs and horse.
Tala Hicks, Kennel Assistant
Tala has been working for Village Way since March of 2016. She currently resides in Davie County with her family, 4 dogs, and a gerbil. In her free time, she sings for the praise team at her church, and her favorite food is sushi.
